The last Saltatio Mortis album will be released once again as 'Für immer frei (Unsere Zeit Edition), in the form of a double CD version including the complete album and 8 bonus tracks in a Digipak.
The new album by Saltatio Mortis is now called 'Für immer frei - Unsere Zeit Edition', and in the title, there is both a confession and a call. In addition to the distinctive songs of the main album, there are five new songs and three alternative versions here. With the single 'Nie allein', Saltatio invokes the solidarity that they also live and experience in the real world. With 'My Mother Told Me' and 'Wellerman', two foreign-language songs are included in the eight new tracks, which clearly refer to the band's historical and folk roots. For a long time, the band has also had a passion for the Nordic world of legends, and not least for modern adaptations, such as the successful series 'Vikings'. Fans of the series will surely immediately recognize the historical melody of 'My Mother Told Me', just as fans of 'Assassin's Creed' may find some characters in the video adaptation. It is precisely this balancing act that distinguishes Saltatio Mortis: the balancing act between modernity and history.
